   this not an easy thing you can learn in a short time, it takes years to improve it.

   my advise you to look up some photos and see how the shading works, look at anime and real photos, that really helped me.

   you can try looking at these:

   about the coloring you can use water colors, that's what i like to do, it gives the drawing some life in it, if you don't like water coloring then try using ordinary color pencil to do the job, the trick in color pencils is to know when to harden your pencil and when to make it light, you can do that by choosing an angle where you want the light to shine, then try to make it light form there and goes darker as you go further from the angle.

   If you dye your hair black regularly that means your hair is probably decently damaged, which is ideal for spray-on color. Color sticks better to damaged hair because it is lacking it's essential protective oils. However, because your hair is black odds are the color won't show.

   Think of it like coloring. Imagine coloring with crayons on black construction paper. The color is there just as much as it would be on white construction paper, you just cant see it as well.
